Rolwaling Valley Trek is situated between the Everest and Langtang Himalaya ranges, below Gauri Shankar (7145m) and south border of Tibet. This region lies between Langtang range and Everest range Rolwaling valley trekking is one of the hard pass in Everest Himalaya. some of the highlights of this trek are Rolwaling Valley, Khumbu, Tamang Village, Wonderful views. The Rowling valley is abundant with alpine lakes, hanging glaciers, moraines, high pastures, waterfalls and imminent view of snowy peaks in the backdrop. This region is rich in biological diversity, glacial lakes, mountains and isolated villages. More than that Rolwaling area is also home of many endangered and globally threatened animals. The Rolwaling Himal, along the Tibetan border, forms the northern border of a wild, beautiful east-west valley that, due to its isolated location, has been largely closed to trekkers. It is also an alternative trail to Everest base camp trekking located at the west of Khumbhu.

The Rolwaling valley trek starts from Dolakha, near Charikot, an eight-hour drive from Kathmandu. Rowling Trek is one of the stunning trekking available in Nepal. We trek following the Rolwaling River; the area will be rich in flora and fauna aspect because of fewer intruders. The dark narrow valley of Rolwaling opens wide near villages of Beding (3,510m) and Na (4,120m). Beyond Beding, we climb to the last settlement in the valley: the summer pasture village, Kharka of Na. From here we will spend two days exploring the Yalung La region with its spectacular glacier fields and the Tsho-Rolpa glacier lake. Rolwaling Valley Trek will show you the hidden Himalayas that are not explored by many trekkers’ yet. A very fine but strenuous camping-style expedition can be made through the Rolwaling Himal to cross the Teshi Lapcha La (5755m) and into the Solu Khumbu. Great views of Mt. Melungtse (7181m) Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Mt. Tashi Lapcha are visible.It will be the unforgettable experiences in the Himalayas.

The main Highlights included in this trek are magnificent forests and of course the giant snow peak, Gaurishankar (7134m). The Tsho Rolpa is an awesome ice lake held back by terminal moraine on the way during Rolwaling trekking. The unmarked route goes along the Trakarding Glacier and then climbs steeply up onto the Drolambau Glacier. This place offers the excellent view of the magnificent mountain ranges like Mt. Makalu, Mt. GauriShankar and Mt. Everest range, Rolwaling Valley and Rolwaling Himal, views of Pachermo and Ramdung peak. The trek joins the Khumbu valley route so you can carry on to the Everest Base camp or back to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu. Day 1:Greetings at Kathmandu Airport
We will be present there at airport for your convenience to greet you and transfer to your desired hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program and have short meeting with your trekking guide. If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.

Day 2:A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath might make you feel calm and peace and visit Patan the city of fine arts and Durbar Square is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments. On journey back to hotel, you can explore the local areas, gullies and lifestyle. After your dinner, you can perhaps take leisurely stroll through the famous streets like Thamel and Durbarmarg.

Day 3:Katmandu to Dolkha (1650m)
We will have about 7 hours drive from Kathmandu to Dolkha. Night at hotel.

Day 4:Dolakha to Shigati (1020m).
Work through scattered villages and terraces. The trail is very well defined and used by porters and shepherds.

Day 5:Shigati to Gongar (1350m).
Working through a Bhote koshi river, Pass a fir hamlets and villages working through a forest give you a chance to see a GauriShankar Himal (7145m).

Day 6:Gongar to Simigaon (2020m).
Today the path slowly gains altitude on an impressive slope, and later crosses terraces. Arrive at Simigaon a Sherpa village.

Day 7:Simigaon to Donga (2800m).
From here trek to the Rolwaling valley, Working Through a gorgeous rhododendron forest; the path steadily climbs towards Gyalche. Eventually, we descend back down to the river and establish the campsite on the Rolwaling Khola.

Day 8:Donga to Beding (3690m).
We will gradually climb the valley with good mountain scenery. We will visit the ochre colored Gompa at Beding, the largest village in the Valley.

Day 9:Beding to Na (4180m).
A short walk will take us to Na. A tiny alpine hamlet only inhabited during summer months a majestic view of impressive peaks with Chobutse (6685m) and Chugimago (6259m).

Day 10:Na. Acclimatization day.
There will have a day rest for acclimatization before the Tashi Lapcha. We can have a rest or can do a Yalung la pass.

Day 11:Na to Nyiduk Kongma (4750m).
Above Na Gaun, the trail meanders up to a high lake named Thso Rolpa (4540m) and up to the lateral moraines of the Rolwaling glacier.

Day 12:Nyiduk Kongma Drolumbau Glacier (5200m).

Day 13:Drolumbau Glacier to Tashi Lapsa passes (5755m)
The Teshi Lapcha La goes through these mountains by the footslopes of Patchamo. The descent on the other side is steep and very rough through boulder fields.

Day 14:Camp to Thame (3800m).
Cross river through ancient rhododendron, oak and pine forests interspersed with terraced fields adjoining the numerous villages of the region. Camping at night.

Day 15:Thame to Namche Bazar (3440m).

Day 16:Namche Bazaar trekking to Lukla (2,850)
The descent from Namche to the Dudh koshi can be the hardest stage of the entire trek. The trail descends over the ridge past rocky cliffs and scattered pines to the tiny village of Toktok. Thetrail drops steeply and runs level through out the day.Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You’ll have time to stroll around the local areas.

Day 17:Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Saying final goodbye to our porters, we will have a flight back to Kathmandu of an exciting one hour. (It can also be a spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.)

Day 18:Kathmandu free day.
Today is a free day in Kathmandu valley. You are free to have some shopping and enjoy the local streets and life of people. You can have a relax walk over the streets and view the normal living of Nepalese. Also you can buy some memories and gifts for back to your home. Full day leisure can be accompanied by some entertainment and sound time in hotel.

Day 19:Final Departure
With lots of grateful to you, we will proudly drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home.

(The above itinerary can be tailor made as per  clients request, we can make the itinerary more shorter by cutting day 02 city tour and 2nd last day in Kathmandu, there is early morning 6:15 am flight to Lukla which is only 35 minutes flight so we can start the trek in same day, So people have short time wanted to do this trek also possible, people who have longer time can add the White Water Rafting, Jungle safari tour in Chitwan National park, Paragliding and Zeep Flyer in Pokhara and other extra activities so feel free to write us your interest and time and we will make the itinerary to suites your needs).
